Narrated in verse, this captivating picture book for children three years of age and older introduces a number of creatures that buzz, chirp, howl and hoot. You'll find illustrations of a meadowlark, spotted owls, some frogs, a loon, red-winged blackbird, a few crickets, a beautiful Tundra Swan, three wolves, a solitary elk, some bees, a rattlesnake and a marmot on these pages.

Along with the large illustrations, the text explains something about each of the critters and the sounds they make. A fun way to explore some of the animals of the Pacific Northwest, this volume's watercolors by Andrea Gabriel are big and bold, thus complimenting the rhymed and informative narrative that Port Townsend, Washington, resident Jennifer Blomgren provides.
