Who knew making French toast for breakfast could be so fun. Patrick and his cat wake up and head to the kitchen, expecting another boring breakfast but what they find is a cow standing in their kitchen. What a hook for a storyline, and it only gets better. Paddy and his cat, with the help of dad, are about to discover where their breakfast really comes from.

Author Diana Prichard adds breakfast foods and farm animals one by one, in a very entertaining way. Prichard’s humor pours into Heather Devlin Knopf’s illustrations. Heather captures the quirkiness of the situation and the expressions of Paddy, his dad and the farm animals. The storyline flows until Paddy takes his last bite. The Cow In Patrick O'Shanahan's Kitchen is an enjoyable story written with the whole family in mind. Parents can expect plenty of giggles from this one.
