look at being ill. The author blends rhymes with purple elephants,
green dogs, germ monsters, and more. Coy tells young readers
how everyone is bound to have a sick day, and the best way
to deal with it is to accept it and stay positive until it’s
over. He also goes through the various steps of a sick day
and helps youngsters understand the Doctor’s job in
getting them well. Coy also fills the pages with Andy Elkerton’s
one of a kind bright, comical, upbeat illustrations. They
are noteworthy. Parents will also get a kick out of Bowles
sense of humor and Elkerton’s art. When You’re
Feeling Sick is exactly what youngsters need to feel
better.
