O Holy Night: Christmas With the Boys Choir of Harlem
By Faith Ringgold, Boys' Choir of Harlem

"O Holy Night" begins with Holy Scriptures about Christ's birth. You may want to share this before you put on the CD, because once it's on, the room comes to life. And when it's over, its way too quiet - expect to hear this CD over and over. The Boys Choir of Harlem is impressive to say the least - it's a wonderful CD.

The art work by Faith Ringgold accompanies the lyrics of the Christmas songs: "Silent Night," "O Come all Ye Faithful," "O Holy Night," "Hark the Herald Angels Sing," and "Joy to the World." The illustrations are simple in design, bold in color and the characters are African American in appearance. Ringold's art is truly unique.

Faith Ringgold is known for both her books and her painted story quilts. Her artwork is in permanent collections of many museums, and she has received many awards, fellowships, citations and honors.

The Boys Choir of Harlem is known around the world. For Thirty-five years it has provided hundreds of inner-city children a chance to discover their creativity.
