You can learn a lot about a person by what goes out on the individual's clothesline. This clever picture-book challenges the young reader to view seven clotheslines and what is hanging on each of them to determine what the person's occupation is.

The rhymed text provides clues as do objects arranged next to the clothesline. Turn the page and you'll find the answer when you see the person performing his or her job.

The occupations include a mail carrier, farmer, chef, artist, carpenter, fireman, and astronaut. Use this book to launch a discussion about other occupations and what your child may want to do in the future.
