This "uncover
and discover" activity book challenges children to find animals
with similar characteristics. After showing the youngster an illustration
of a bunny, the following page features four, colorful flaps. Hidden
behind them there's a chameleon, a pigeon, a fox and a goldfish.
Who's furry
and breathes air like the rabbit? Why the fox, of course!
On the next
two-page set, other similarities between the fox and rabbit are
featured before you move on to the next "Who's like me?"
creature - a goldfish.
This is an
excellent way of introducing your child to a few similarities and
differences between mammals, fish, birds, reptiles and amphibians.
The illustrations are eye appealing, the colors vibrant and there's
just enough information to enable the youngster to grasp some essential
characteristics of each classification. |
