The activity book folds out accordion style to display a dozen key developments in the history of space exploration. Spread the book open on a table top and you’ll find pop ups and information about of Sputnik 1,Vostok 1 and 2, the Kennedy Space Center, Apollo 11, the Eagle Lunar Module, the International Space Station and much, much more.

There’s also a handy “Space Exploration Time Line”, a map of the solar system and a brief glossary of space related terms and words. There is also a handy, attractive slip case to protect the book and keep it safe.

Teachers and parents who home school a child will find this an excellent way of beginning a unit on space travel and exploration plus librarians can use this book for a fold out display that introduces other titles on the topic.

From famous cities to different modes of transportation, this series of little books has captured the attention of children and adults alike. The way the books fold out and have material on both sides make it a collector’s item which serious pop-up book aficionados have gravitated towards.
