“A is for applesauce dripped down the wall.” The Messy Alphabet Book!

Sesame Street brings young readers a yucky ABC book because Grouch is tired of nice ones. He wants a messy ABC book, and Cookie Monster agrees because he wants to make a big mess, too! Grouch reads his messy ABC rhymes as Cookie Monster makes a terrible mess. Elmo arrives, along with a goat and other Sesame Street characters to make even more messes. This is the yuckiest ABC book I've ever seen. How about you?

The Messy Alphabet Book is part of the Sesame Street Scribbles Series created for ages 4-8, and the wonderfully terrible illustrations are by Joe Mathieu. He captures our favorite characters so well. Mathieu’s name can be seen on other Sesame Street titles, as well.

Parents, if you want to have a little fun with the kids The Messy Alphabet Book is just for you. It's mucky enough to garner lots of giggles, especially when you read Grouch’s rhymes. I recommend the entire Scribbles series for your little ones.
