The
rabbit’s busy in Easterland, getting all the eggs ready
in time for the big day. But when a batch of them falls down
a rabbit hole, it is up to Bunny the egg hunter to find them.
To do so he must visit all the fairy tale lands, where each
scene contains ten hidden eggs plus a chick…
Easter
is a lovely time of year, but there are never many books that
tie in with it. When one appears it is something of a treat,
and this is no exception. This is the latest in Buster’s
series of books where, in true Where’s Waldo or Wally
tradition, you have to spot the unicorns, llamas, sloths,
meerkats and now Easter eggs in a series of colorful and busy
double page spreads. The theme is fairy tales, and Bunny gets
to travel to the homes of Snow White, the Princess and the
Pea, Aladdin, the Frog Prince, the Little Mermaid, Sleeping
Beauty and several more. This would be an ideal book to keep
excited children quiet while the Easter lunch is being cooked
or during a long journey. The eggs are not easy to find and
I enjoyed looking for them, so this is not just a book for
the younger children. When you have found them all, turn to
the back for the answers as well as lists of other things
to find. At just under £7 this is good value, and I
can imagine it being brought out each Easter for another round
of hunting. A nice twist on the perennially popular egg hunt
and a fun addition to this series.
