The
Ice Chorus
A
novel
By
Sarah Stonich
The
Ice Chorus is a magnificently written love story of a woman
who was unhappy in her marriage when she meets a man who will change
everything in her life.
Liselle
Dupree has just ended her turbulent marriage of 18 years, after
having an affair with Charlie a man she met while on vacation in
Mexico. After going through the divorce and facing the disapproval
of her son, Liselle has come to Ireland in hopes of finding herself.
While in Ireland, she meets the Connor family and starts a documentary
on their life.
Many
secrets of the Connor family are uncovered as Liselle works on the
documentary, but as she looks deeper into the Connor's family history,
she will have to face her own dark secrets from her past.
Through
much of the book, Liselle will reflect back on how she met Charlie
and fell in love, the end of her marriage, and the pain she caused
her son. With Each flash back, Liselle realizes more about her self,
including how she always shied away from intimacy because of the
emotional effects of when, as a young girl, she found her father
dead and learned of the secret life he lived.
The
Ice Chorus was a sweet story, which I truly enjoyed reading.
Each character has their on remarkable personality, and the plot
of this story will have you unable to lay this book down. Ms. Stonich
has written an extraordinary love story that will keep any reader
entertained from the beginning to the end.
