All I Have To Give
by Melody Carlson
Anna is desperate to have a child, but after many miscarriages and fertility treatments she has still not
conceived. Now her husband Michael wants to turn the unused nursery into an office—and why does he keep
working late? To make matters worse, Anna thinks that there is something wrong with her, but she still hopes
to make it a Christmas to remember. But as things keep going wrong for herself and her family it is beginning
to look as though it might be remembered for all the wrong reasons...
This is a heart-warming novella for Christmas, a story where the characters get to think over what makes the
season special. There is of course a Christian message in here, but for anybody who enjoys a good holiday read
it is not so overt that those who do not normally read inspirational novels won’t enjoy it. I personally love a
feel-good book, and without spoiling the ending I can let you know that this is one—after all, it is for
Christmas! There is much to admire in the way in which the characters are sketched in quickly and their
situations made apparent in just a few words on the first few pages. Writers of tubby tomes take note. |
