Daniel Franks, a contributor to art magazines, has written about Lacey Yeager, the young woman he has never been able to forget.Lacey Yaeger is an ambitious art dealer who uses everything at her disposal to advance in the world of art trade in New York. She manipulates her way from the Barton Tally Gallery to her own gallery by sleeping with patrons and with questionable art deals.

Steve Martin brings to this novel firsthand knowledge of the art world about which he has written. Besides being an outstanding actor and performer, he is himself a renowned art collector. This is a backstage view into the elite NYC art world. Clever convincing details depict the sound and fury of the rarified Manhattan art world.
