It is the 1970s and, thanks to the oil crisis and gas rationing, Martin Anderson’s aircraft business is in a freefall. Martin’s extravagant lifestyle is in serious jeopardy and as his debt threatens to consume him, the struggling businessman is willing to try anything to save all he holds near and dear.

Given the opportunity to make some big bucks and ease his crushing load of debt, Martin agrees to use one of his planes to make a few quick heroin runs between California and Mexico. What could possibly go wrong? Just about everything!

Associating with a group of nasty, gun-toting drug lords isn’t the kind of partnership anyone with half a brain would want to get involved in. Then, when a narcotics agent begins snooping around, Martin knows he’s made a mistake.

Feeling quite paranoid about both the police and his associates, Martin then stumbles upon the scene of a double murder. Now it is time to extricate himself from this mess, hopefully with his finances intact, but will this bumbling antihero be able to do so? That remains to be seen, but you’ll enjoy watching what he does to right the situation!

In this very entertaining novel which marks David Anthony’s debut you’ll discover a clever, cautionary plot and a very unforgettable character whose exploits will have you laughing one moment and shaking your head with disbelief the next.
