The Gifted One is a novel, but it is also a self-help
book, and the combination proves to be a real winner. Over the years
I have read many books with a metaphysical bent, and I half expected
“The Gifted One” to be another in a long series of books
that impart a similar message, along the lines of “you create
your own reality” and perhaps “God lives within you.”
While it does hold true these messages are conveyed in this book,
there are both vastly more complicated issues and tremendously more
simple revelations carefully explained as the story unfolds.
When an ordinary man named Andy takes an extraordinary journey
to the desert home of a healer, a spiritual guide called Coach,
he is surprised to find that the real journey unfolding is an odyssey
within. After an act of kindness to a blind man on the subway in
New York, Andy is repaid with the gift of a book….the first
gift of many that will lead him to a higher vibration.
As Andy’s understanding of the nature of personal reality
grows, he finds himself evolving physically, too. Coach teaches
him to exercise and feed his body properly and Andy is lightening
up his body, while he also becomes more spiritually enlightened.
The situation is emotionally charged when Andy finds himself falling
for Coach’s “niece”, Star, who prepares their
meals and shares her own words of wisdom with Andy.
In my opinion, “The Gifted One” is the special kind
of book that almost anyone could find a message in, a message that
stirs them from the slumber of day-to-day existence. It is an enjoyable
read and even if you don’t find your own message within the
pages, you’ll be looking forward to the next book in the series
to see what happens to Andy (who Coach has given the name City Bear),
Coach and the lovely Star. Will Andy and Star embark on a romance?
Will Coach be able to stay in his desert home? More intriguing-
what will City Bear be able to do to help heal the Earth?
As the holiday gift-giving season approaches, perhaps you should
consider sharing the wisdom and clarity of “The Gifted One”
with your family and friends. It is a book that is good for the
mind, body and soul. I give it my highest praise of five clockwork
angels.

Note: I couldn’t fit this book into any one category,
but found it described as a first of its kind self-help novel which
fits perfectly.
