Life’s funny sometimes. Just when you think you finally have it all figured out, you discover that, well, you don’t! Just as you’re about to zig, fate steps in and you unexpectedly zag. In Julia Amante’s Say You’ll Be Mine, Isabel Gallegos is about to zag…big time. Isabel, the very in-control owner of Gallegos Winery, has a plan…a well-thought out, sure-to-be-successful plan. She’ll sell the winery that has consumed her, say goodbye to her high stress life and her high maintenance ex-husband, and retire to a cottage at the beach. Finally, she will have the life she has always wanted. She can just about reach out and touch that dream when disaster strikes. Isabel learns that her closest cousin has died unexpectedly and left three children for Isabel to raise. Three children. In Argentina. This was not in the plan.

Isabel travels to Argentina along with her not-so-high-maintenance-after-all ex, determined to somehow find someone else to care for her nieces and nephew. What would she do with three grief-stricken children? Besides, the children’s Uncle Ramiro actually wants custody of them. Ramiro and Isabel decide that she will take the children with her temporarily, and then return them to their uncle and their country. Oh, Isabel. Here comes fate, about to step in again. What will these children do to her well-ordered life? Can she really walk away from the winery with all its memories? And this dream life…does the dream still look the same?

Say You’ll Be Mine is just a lovely book. It will make you wonder about the joy of the unexpected, the beauty of a life filled more with adventure than with plans. Join Isabel on her journey, enjoy your visit to wine country and Argentina…and remember. Never pass up the chance to zag!
