Edward Sheffield asks Susan Morrow, his ex-wife,
to read his first novel. He claims she has always been his best
critic.
Susan is drawn
into the novel's story about a math professor whose car is hijacked
and his family taken hostage while driving to their summer home.
As she reads she begins to take stock of her own life with her new
husband Arnold, whom she fears is having an affair with a colleague;
and of her life with Edward and the failure of their marriage. She
must confront her past and present and try to find a solution for
her future.
Tony and
Susan is an engrossing story with two plots that will keep
the reader involved. The characters are well drawn. The suspense
reaches its peak when Susan must confront her past as well as her
present. Highly recommended.
