Conversations
on traumatic incident reduction
Edited by Victor
R. Volkman
As
a mental health provider in my day job, Beyond Trauma shows
that there is an effective way of helping individuals with such
diagnoses as: post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) or severe panic
or anxiety disorders and makes this reader want to learn more about
helping these individuals through Traumatic Incident Reduction.
Traumatic Incident Reduction (TIR) is introduced in a simplistic
way for both mental health professionals and people who suffer from
PTSD or other anxiety disorders.
Throughout
Beyond Trauma, TIR is demonstrated in conversational pieces
from different professionals. Each conversational piece shows the
reader specific cases where TIR was used, usually after several
other types of therapy were used, and shows how TIR was effective
in helping that particular client. Beyond Trauma also has
actual client experiences that show that TIR was effective.
Beyond
Trauma should be a must for any clinician that deals with individuals
that have PTSD or anxiety disorder. |
