A Is for Atticus
Baby Names from Great Books

by Lorilee Craker

Great works of literature have brought readers countless hours of enjoyment. Expectant parents are in for a real treat as they discover a fresh new perspective on finding the perfect name for their their soon-to-be-newborn. In A is for Atticus: Baby Names from Great Books, Lorilee Craker’s research uncovers literary names we have grown to cherish in our beloved keepsake novels.

This book was a pure delight to read and review. The names included in this book give parents who crave a name that will reflect their true literary heritage a chance to find one with good, in-depth meaning. Some of the unknown favorites I found in this book include: Jasper, Tristan, and Carson. There were names that I have never thought of but whose meaning I could relate to, such as Pomona, London, and Echo.

Expectant parents will find in no time that this has become one of their all time favorite baby naming books. What I found so interesting was this that book provided names that you wouldn’t normally think of when naming you child.

For anyone who seeks a unique and compact collection of some of the legendary names of the century, this book is a must-read. You will be amazed at how quickly you will come to depend on this one book, instead of having to search through the hundreds of pages similar titles offer. Very highly recommended.
