What a story. You probably saw this one in the news.
Sad, but hopeful. It just makes your heart sick that a father would
kill his own children, but then you have to remember that he is
a sick man to put it into perspective. And, Carmina Salcido has
done just that.
Left to die in a dump site, Carmina was found by
a man who just happened to be poking around while waiting for a
friend to get off work at the site when he spotted what he thought
were three large dolls. Carmina moved a leg and he realized that
they were not dolls.
A manhunt ensued and Carmina’s father was
discovered to have driven across the city on a rampage of killing.
If you find true crime interesting and want to read
a heart wrenching and heart-warming story of survival and hope,
this is it.
The writing is easy and the pages flow from one
to another as each scene unfolds the details of this shocking story.
It’s a book you just can’t put down until you’re
finished, so carve out the time once you pick it up or the kids
will be screaming for dinner.
