Back in 1978 if you were living in Britain a new SF series burst onto the small screen. This was Blake's Seven, and it proved to be a great success roaring on until it's shocking end just before Christmas 1981. Here is a guide to all the merchandise ever made to tie in with the series (or at least up until earlier this year).

Illustrated in glorious color this is much more than a catalog of memorabilia. Certainly it is that too, complete with notes about each item, how much it cost when new, date issued and how rare it is now. There are books, models, garments, magazines, copies of the theme tune and much more certainly more than I ever realized was out there. There is a brief introduction to the series and the background for the merchandise as well as interviews with various people connected with it all - Chris Boucher, Trevor Hoyle, Tony Attwood etc. It certainly had me nostalgic for those days and wishing TV was like this now. I always think that these guides are as much about social history as anything else although this one is mainly about the merchandise. If you are a collector then this is surely the book to get.
