This book in any form is a must read for those who love water or are known as “water babies!” “Water babies” is a term for those who love to be in or surrounded by water as much as possible (i.e. swimming, boating, fishing, etc.) This author did a wonderful job on presenting facts and reasoning within the book as well as putting stories from people who love water and how it affects them. I believe Mr. Nichols had a broad curiosity about why and how water affects different people and why a fair amount of the population is fascinated with being around or near water.

My daughter and I are considered “water babies” and although my husband never learned how to swim he has always had a fascination with water as well. None of us could figure out why we loved it so much or why we felt such a calm feeling come over us anytime we were near it… until we all listened to this audio-book. I feel that my family and I learned a lot from listening to this book and I have learned many new things that I plan to put to use in our lives. Mr. Nichols did a wonderful job of including stories from other people in order to support his findings and to help explain his theories. I am so thankful that I was allowed to read and review this book.

If anyone has a curiosity about water and its many effects on people and nature itself then I suggest this is a book to read. I thought Wallace Nichols did a wonderful job narrating his book; I found it to be interesting and well read. I couldn't help but be fascinated by listening to him read Blue Mind; I felt like I was in a classroom and he was the teacher in front of the class discussing this subject and explaining his findings. I was a little sad when I finished the book because I was enjoying getting to listen and learn something new all at once. Out of a score of 10 I give Blue Mind and Mr. Nichols a “10.”
