Great
audiobook. The author did an extraordinary job of captivating
the reader by telling his own story. As you listen to his
account of the “Wall Street Story”, you feel like
an insider. He also does a good job of teasing you into listening
for the rest of the story. I found he shed a lot of light
on the inner workings of the stock market by educating the
listener. Things that you only thought were true, after listening,
realize they were worse that you thought.
Smith takes the
listener from the beginning of his career in 2000, through
all the twists and turns in his apprenticeship to promotion
and then finally, his resignation in 2012. He sought change
throughout his career and after speaking out to the board
of directors, resigning and then speaking out publicly was
the way to do just that.
I think anyone
interested in all the recent news stories concerning the sit-in
and 911, along with the Wall Street corporate world, will
be intrigued and affected.
I recommend this
to anyone who invests. It’s a good audio to listen to
on a long trip. It will leave you more knowledgeable and also
make you think, which makes a good challenge you’re
your mind.
