Delightful!
It’s about food. Or is it? So you’ve read the blog,
now listen to the audio book. It’s the tale of two friends
who share the love of cooking. The misadventures of the twenty
something years told in a light and delicious audio that tantalizes
the reader and feeds them too. I bet you’ve never had
that experience before! Yes, it’s a book full of anecdotes
and appetizers.
Tram works at a boutique called Tragically
Hip and part time for the sex shop next door. She lives in
an apartment in Chicago that is open and honest with a roommate
named Amy and her cats. She is saving to meet up with her
best friend Lucy who lives in New York. Their stories are
told in a macramé of events that are easy to follow
and integrate their individual lives through a timeline of
uncertainty and maturity.
The only things listening to the audio that
might be lacking are the illustrations. If you are in your
twenties and want a book that comforts as well as caresses
the fears that accompany the trials of youth, take this one
to bed with you. It will scare away those insecurities.
