Like
coloring books dot to dot puzzles used to just be for children,
but now adults have rediscovered the former, it was only so
long before the latter caught up. The dot to dot puzzle has
come of age with this large format (10½” x 14½”)
book that could not be anything other than an item designed
to appeal to the adult colorist. The paper is thick, white
and perforated for easy removal with designs on one side only.
No part of these puzzles vanishes into the spine and there
is a handy crease on the covers to enable the book to be put
as flat as possible for ease of use. Unlike other dot to dot
puzzles, these have sets of dots in a selection of colors
so you can have a multicolored end result. You can then color
it in and remove it for framing, as the instructions page
at the front suggests. The numbers are small so good eyesight
is required, but all are printed clearly. At the back of the
book is a page showing thumbnails of all the completed puzzles,
and there are thirty of these. Subjects are predominantly
wildlife like the fox on the cover, but there are also buildings,
landscapes, plants and a variety of other images. I hope that
this is going to be part of a new series, as although there
are other dot to dot books for adults around, this is the
largest to date and has some of the best quality paper.
