The opening of this book is an attention getter, simply because
of the tone of Zoller’s voice. In it you can hear his
vigor and humor. This is a book that you would think of as
interesting, but the authors make it an exciting read as well.
The authors talk in specifics of full seasons of a TV show
as compared to a pantheon of shows. Hence a numerical value,
but subjective, so not perfect. This does not include the
totality of global shows. There is a pdf accompanying the
audiobook for those who would like to read the details or
use it for a college report.
These two authors must have had blast debating
their favorites during their initial years as they worked
together. When they decided to get together and write this
book, it had to look like Siskel and Ebert in rewind. One
of the special sections outside of the main competition is,
best apartment, best death, etc. Now you see the fun in it.
If you like TV, get this book. It is light,
exuberating, and comedic in nature. You will be the hit at
parties with a superfluous mega of information.
Oh, and
watch out for their next in series, Children’s shows!
