This is a mystery that takes you through Satanism, Witchcraft, and modern day science. Christina Garcia Y Grant, who had given up her law practice, decides to come out of retirement to help Hermandad, who has been set up for a murder. 

The book has interesting some twists and turns in it.  I had some problems following the story line because it is so rich in Latino tradition, which I know nothing of.
