Conduct In Question

by Mary E. Martin

Ms. Martin has truly shown her expertise as a real estate lawyer in Conduct in Question. The main character, Harry Jenkins, is a real estate lawyer who has gotten himself trapped into a money-laundering scheme with a dose of conflict of interest with one of his wealthy clients. He finds himself in deeper when people, including his senior partner, and his wealthy client are found dead. Were they murdered? And where do Mr. Chin and his shady money-laundering dealings come in?

Ms. Martin is able to take this topic of real estate law and turn it into a fast-paced interesting and thrilling novel. She shows a level of expertise that can only be obtained by working in the field. The characterization of Harry Jenkins truly shows that level of expertise. The interaction between Jenkins, Chin, and his wealthy client's family is excellent and shows how easy it could be for a professional to get involved in a conflict of interest situation, especially when a lot of money is involved.

Kudos to Ms. Martin and her work in Conduct in Question. Any legal thriller fan should find Conduct in Question a fitting book in this genre.
