Over Her Dead Body
Baily Wiggins Mystery, #4

by Kate White

Kate White has taken the magazine industry and turned it on its head in Over Her Dead Body. Bailey Weggins is forced to take a job at the Buzz, a celebrity gossip magazine, after she was tossed from Gloss, which changed its format. After Bailey starts, her friend, Robby, who helped her get her new job, is brutally fired by Mona, the editor, who rubs almost everyone the wrong way. Then, Mona is murdered. Bailey, an investigative journalist, sets off to investigate Mona's murder and give Buzz that inside edge. Will she be able to protect her friend, Robby, who is the prime suspect? Or will she be forced to believe what everyone else does?

Ms. White writes a highly entertaining novel in Over Her Dead Body. Bailey's character is extremely well developed. Ms. White shows her knowledge of the magazine industry throughout Over Her Dead Body. She also does a fantastic job incorporating the magazine industry with the investigation of Mona's murder. Ms. White leaves several different suspects, even though Robby's motive, at first, appears to be the most logical.
