The Chocolate Mouse Trap
Chocoholic Mysteries #5
by Joanna Carl
Email is such a big thing today. Most of us Email more than we talk face to face with people.
Many friendships develop among email groups and people look forward to receiving messages
from these friends. This is true for Lee McKinney, a chocolate shop owner. Unfortunately,
she is also getting sick and tired of receiving cutesy Emails from party planner Julie Singletree.
Lee and the rest of the small group of Emailers learn that Julie is murdered and Lee heads
up the effort to solve Julie's death.
Joanna Carl has written several novels in the Chocoholic Mystery series and The Chocolate
Mouse Trap fits in extremely well. The mystery that challenges Lee is entertaining
and isn't solved too quickly. There are several mystery series that deal with amateur
sleuths and Ms. Carl's is one of the best. The characterization of Lee and her fellow
Email members is high quality and readers are quick to get caught up with them, even if
they haven't read the entire series. |
