Wild Fire
John Corey Series, No. 4
by Nelson DeMille
Read by Scott Brick
Task Force Agent John Corey is back and ready to face yet another bed & breakfast and a new kind of terrorist -
he’s not sure which is worse. As John and his wife Kate - also an agent - head off for a weekend at a bed & breakfast,
a fellow ATTF agent and friend are sent to spy on the Custer Hill Club, a group of Vets on a piece of land set up
as well as a government agency. Corey’s fellow agent and friend is later found murdered. Eventually Corey and Kate
follow his path and try to discover what happened and who’s in charge of "Wild Fire."
DeMille never disappoints. Wild Fire is suspense at its fullest. Admittedly, at points it seems
unbelievable, but DeMille works hard to make it a riveting what-if tale. Some authors like to include a political
view. Fair warning, in this one, DeMille writes with a liberal flair, so, conservatives, try not to be offended. I
highly recommend the John Corey series to anyone looking for some serious, nonstop entertainment.
Well known narrator Scott Brick reads the audio version - an added bonus to a compelling listen. There’s plenty
of violence and language, so remember those head phones. |
