Beware False Profits
Ministry is Murder series #3
by Emilie Richards
"There's no rest for the weary," is Aggie Sloan-Wilcox's oft-repeated line. Just when she and her
minister-husband are off on a rare and long-anticipated weekend alone, the phone rings - as nearly always happens -
and they learn a parishioner is missing, in the same city where they're enjoying R&R. With only a vague idea of
where he's been seen last, they get into search mode.
One man is missing, then the mayor's wife dies after being splattered by a malfunctioning chocolate fountain,
and the local food pantry burns to the ground with yet another body in it, and it's up to Aggie to get to the
bottom of the mystery.
As much as this reviewer enjoys humor, this book is populated with more than the usual number of oddballs,
universalists, New-age themes and female impersonators. If those things are your cup of tea, you'll love
Beware of False Profits. |
