A Charmed Death
A Bewitching Mystery #2
by Madelyn Alt
Maggie O’Neill is starting to understand her powers. She’s continuing to work at Enchantments, a mystical antique
shop in Stony Mill, and watching her favorite show: Magnum P.I. Her life starts getting more complicated
when she witnesses a run-in between the local teenage popular girl and the new teenage outsider and the popular
princess is found dead. Maggie wants to help her crush, policeman Tom Fielding, figure out what happened to Amanda,
but Tom has made it apparent that he does not wish to have her help.
Maggie’s character is fun to read and the overall flow of A Charmed Death is entertaining. What I really
enjoyed was the small amount of paranormal investigation that was included in A Charmed Death. The small
town atmosphere is a great setting for a mystery of this kind. It shows how close individuals are and how
scorned outsiders are.
With the popularity of shows like Ghost Hunters and Most Haunted, the paranormal investigation is
a great added bit and fans of those shows would enjoy this little mystery. A fun mystery to read! |
