Chasing Eden
by S.L. Linnea
Chasing
Eden
will educate you, thrill you, and keep you up all night turning
pages. You will have the opportunity to become more informed about
the war in Iraq , both biblical and mythical versions of Eden ,
Yale's Skull & Bones, the CIA, and the place of religion in
the lives of some of war's participants. The heroine, Chaplain (Maj.)
Jaime Richards will astound and delight you. In Jaime, Linnea has
created a down to earth yet powerful female mainstay for this drama
over the struggle to find and control the entrance into the mysterious
Paradise known as Eden . Erase all doubt about this unlikely protagonist
and the Iraq War setting. You'll be quickly hooked on plot and action.
Once in awhile, you may question the likelihood of some plot point,
dispute the obviousness of the good/evil dichotomy, or feel a bit
bored by some of the long erudite passages of historical background
that make you feel like you're attending to a lecture, but on the
whole, you will be riveted. Another minor criticism is the let down
of the sudden implausible ending, which will disappoint some, though
others may find it most gratifying.
