Blue Heron Marsh
A Webb Sawyer Mystery

by Douglas Quinn

Webb Sawyer is out for revenge after being released from a psychiatric hospital. Webb is approached by Amanda Eure, a friend of Clara Zemeniewski, who is accused of murdering her father. When Webb does not get any support from his friend and prosecutor, Randy Fearing, he goes off to find the truth about Clara and her father. While searching for the truth, Clara commits suicide, and Webb more firmly believes that she did not kill her father. He untangles an interesting history about a private boys’ school and some murders that were discovered there. Will Webb be able to find the complete truth to what has happened to the school and Clara's father?

Douglas Quinn has done an amazing job in interweaving racial history and modern day murder. Webb Sawyer is a man determined to seek truth and justice even when the case seems to be resolved. The history of the private boys' school adds a nice backstory to Clara Zemeniewski's father's life and the possible guilt he has been feeling for all of years. The mystery is enjoyable and has enough twists and turns to have the reader continue to guess at the outcome.

Blue Heron Marsh is a fantastic mystery with some nice little personal antics throughout the book.
