Deadknots
A Paranormal Mystery Anthology
by C .J. Winters and Jennifer DiCamillo
C.J. Winters and Jennifer DiCamillo have put together a fun (and sometimes very funny) paranormal mystery anthology
called Deadknots. Within its covers, seven short stories and two novelettes carry the tales of a cast of
other-worldly characters. There are plenty of charming ghosts, old houses, and cemeteries, as well as psychics,
murders, banshees, and a smart-mouthed talking cat. Many of the stories have unexpected twists in the fashion of the
1980s television series, Tales from the Darkside. Those shows were some of my favorites, because I never knew
what would happen at the end.
All of the stories in Deadknots are sure to please any cozy mystery reader who loves a dip into the
paranormal. Deadknots also would be a good introductory book for readers who have never experienced
paranormal mysteries before.
If you like this genre, you might want to track the authors down and check out their other work. C .J. Winters
and Jennifer DiCamillo have both contributed widely to short story collections, including Cup of Comfort for Women
in Love, Mysteries of the Ozarks, and Shadows in the Heart. This is C.J. Winters' eleventh book
with Hard Shell Word Factory. She writes contemporary romance, historical romance, and, of course, time travel and
paranormal romance. Some of her other books include Right Man, Wrong Time, Sleighride, Moon
Night, A Star in the Earth, Mai's Ties, and the Autumn in Cranky Otter series. Jennifer
DiCamillo is a motivational speaker who also writes poetry, short stories, and has two novels out (The Price
of Peace, an historical romance, and Courting Disaster, a paranormal romance). |
