Freezer Burn
A C.S.U. Investigation #3
by D.H. Dublin
Crime Scene Unit investigation stories have never been more exciting than in this third installment of D.H. Dublin’s
series featuring Madison Cross as a crime scene investigator. Madison is working in the Philadelphia police
department with her uncle as her Lieutenant. Working for family only creates minor distraction for Madison but gives
good background as to how and why Madison chose such a grisly profession.
Madison is having a horrendous week with the discovery of a dead gang banger on the expressway and then a body
that’s been chopped up and left in several trash bags. Then it’s on to yet another grisly scene when a body is found
in a crack house. While it would normally not be that unusual to find a body in a Philly crack house, it's certainly
abnormal when they find the body isn’t oozing blood, but some mysterious, foul fluid. If that wasn’t busy enough,
the Lieutenant loans her out to another county with another gang style murder. However there will be pluses to that
assignment with Chief of Police Matt Boone if Madison can survive the week, the mob, and a street gang that seem to
be dropping like flies.
While this is a series, the characters are so well written and the storyline so well detailed it’s easy to read
Freezer Burn without having read the first two: Body Trace and Blood Poison. However after
reading Freezer Burn you’ll most likely want to read more about Madison Cross and her team. |
