In My Dark Dreams
by J. F. Freedman
Lt. Luis Cordova heads a special undercover task force in search of a killer who has committed three brutal murders
in a wealthy area of Los Angeles. These murders were committed on the night of the full moon. He finds Roberto
Salazar, a gardener working in this neighborhood. Salazar claims he is in his truck waiting for his work day to begin,
but when the police search his truck they find a startling piece of evidence, which connects him to the crimes.
Public Defender Jessica Thompson had successfully defended Roberto when he had been charged with transporting
stolen goods. Since he had a spotless record and was a respected member of his community the jury acquitted him.
Now Jessica is wondering if she had put a killer back on the street. She is determined to learn the truth.
This is a fast moving thriller with many questions and twists and turns before the killer is apprehended. The
characters are well presented with their doubts and fears. The reader is left in doubt whether the true perpetrator
is apprehended or was Salazar framed? |
