Ryan James was a minor league baseball player who was headed for the major leagues until his wife, Chelsea, was
killed by a hit and run driver. The driver was never found.
Now Ryan is a sportscaster on a local Boston radio station while trying to put his life together and raise his
six year old daughter. Prosecution attorney Emma Carlisle contacts him about an anonymous note sent to her on the
third anniversary of Chelsea's death. The note claims that the driver had intended to kill Chelsea and the writer
claims to know who did it. Ryan suspects that his brother-in-law, Babes, who suffers from Aspergers Syndrome might
know something. Suddenly Babes goes missing after calling the station claiming he was the one who killed his sister.
The police, Ryan and Emma are all searching for Babes believing that he is really in danger from the real killer
who will stop at nothing to preserve his reputation. It is a race against time whether the killer will find him
first.
Intent to Kill is an excellent mystery with lots of suspense. The action is fast; the dialogue crisp.
The insight into the problems of one suffering from Aspergers Syndrome is excellent. There are many twists and turns
and red herrings to confuse the reader until the final confrontation.
