Killer Mousse
Della Cooks Mystery #1

by Melinda Wells

Killer Mousse, by Melinda Wells, was a cute mystery / who done it book. Della Carmichael is rethinking her life as a teacher and cooking school entrepreneur and is making a life change. Well, she is not doing it for unselfish reasons, she needs to make money and do it fast. So she decides to sign on to the Better Living Channel as a TV cooking show hostess. New career, welcome to In the kitchen with Della!

Problem is, the gal that used to have this time slot is in the audience on the first night of Della’s live taping and she is not happy. Mimi Bond used to have a cooking show on this same TV network, but was recently fired. For some reason she thinks that Della had something to do with it, but in reality, Della is an innocent bystander. Unbeknownst to Della, the network decides that Mimi should be the taste tester. So when Della asks who would like to come up and taste the Chocolate Mousse that she just prepared, Mimi raises her hand and walks onto the set. She takes a big spoonful of the mousse only to exclaim, "This is horrible." Then she drops dead!

Of course everyone rushes to her aid, but it’s too late.

As the story unfolds, Mimi is not the only one to meet their maker too soon. Keep reading to find out how this delicious book ends. It’s a cute, fast-paced, wonderfully written book that I am sure you will also enjoy. Besides, there are recipes in the back!

Melinda Wells did a great job with book one of this Della Cooks Mystery series; I can’t wait for book two to come out! What will happen next!
