Locked In

by Mike Esposito, M.D.

Locked In by Mike Esposito is a phenomenal book.  It really gets you thinking about what doctors will really do when dollar signs are all they can see!

Doctor John Armstrong will do what it takes to make his wife, Ashley, happy and if that means going further and further into debt or working so many hours that he only sees those he works with, then so be it.  But how long can he live like this?  In this case, not very long!  He decides he needs to find a way to make more money and fast, so he starts referring cases to his friend Cal Burton, a malpractice attorney.  John is paid a fee to be an expert witness, and money starts rolling in.  A little here and a little there helps, but John is still going deeper and deeper into debt.  They decide that in order to make the big bucks they have to devise a plan and get a few other people involved.  Now that the group is assembled, the payoff grows and the greed gets more intense.  Just how far will they go?

When innocent people start dying because of the greed of this group, John starts to have second thoughts about being involved and becomes paranoid that the other doctors will try to set him up. So he does the unthinkable.  I won’t tell you what that is, if I did, you wouldn’t need to read this very well written book.  The author keeps you guessing at every turn and you will not figure out the ending, that I can guarantee you!

This is an incredible book and a must read.   I hope Mike Esposito continues to deliver more books along this line and caliber in the near future.  I will be there to read them all!
