The Mark

by Jason Pinter

I don’t usually review suspense novels, but I am glad I had the opportunity to review "The Mark," by Jason Pinter.  It was a very well written book and it kept me on my toes and guessing at every turn.

The main character is Henry Parker, a 24 year old who is only interested in becoming a journalist at a major New York City newspaper.  He graduates at the top of his class and lands a job right out of school at the Gazette.  What more can a young single guy in the big city want?  Adventure is not at the top of his list, but adventure is what he gets and of the wrong kind.

One of the older, more experienced journalists asks Henry to interview one of his key leads in a story he has been working on a long time.  So Henry calls the lead, makes an appointment and shows up right on schedule.  From this moment on, the life that Henry knows changes, and not for the good!

I don’t want to give you too many details, but let me tell you this.  Henry is a very clever and unique individual and is able to stay alive, even with the entire city of New York police force, the FBI, and the Ringer all after him!  What did Henry do?  Keep reading to find out, and enjoy this book as I did.

Great job Jason, I can’t wait to read your next book "The Guilty!"
