Proof Positive
Third in the Amanda Jaffe series
by Philip Margolin
With crime scene investigation being a popular subject these days, Proof Positive takes a spooky look into
what happens when CSI Bernie Cashman decides to take the forensic evidence into his own hands. He twists his
findings to suit the idea that those he sees as guilty will be punished for grisly crimes rather than possibly
being set free. The only problem is the accused he’s helping to convict aren’t always guilty.
Defense attorneys Doug Weaver and Amanda Jaffe have their hands full trying to save their clients' lives when
they come up against Bernie and his "expert testimony." Doug has lost one client but he’s determined not to lose
another. Amanda and attorney father Frank's clients are a bit on the shady side. with mob connections. Still,
they fight with equal determination to keep the innocent from suffering at Bernie’s hands. First they must
discover that Bernie can’t be trusted and then all must be proven.
Proof Positive is a page turner from start to finish with often scary and grisly scenes. It was hard
to put down and just captivating for the crime scene fanatics in all of us. |
