Stone Cold
A Camel Club novel #3

by David Baldacci

Oliver Stone, also known as John Carr, a former CIA assassin, is the leader of the Camel Club, a small group which keeps a close watch on Washington DC leaders.

Honorary club member Annabel Conroy is a slick con artist who has swindled $40 million from casino king Jerry Bagger. Bagger seeks revenge and is in pursuit of Annabelle. The Camel Club tries to protect her, but they are faced with another problem. Harry Finn holds the old CIA unit, Triple 6, responsible for the death of his father during the Cold War. Finn is a seemingly normal family man, but in that guise has managed to eliminate one by one the members of the Triple 6. Next on the list are Stone and Carter Gray, the former head of the CIA and Stone's boss. Stone and the Camel Club must match wits with Finn and Bagger to defuse both situations.

This is a tale of mayhem and murder that reaches across time to the Cold War and deeds performed then by Americans in service to their country. It is a gripping, chilling, fast-paced story full of surprises with an ending affecting the lives of all concerned. The characters are brilliantly constructed with dramatic confrontations.

Another David Baldacci superb novel.....They just keep getting better and better...
