The 8th Confession
Women's Murder Club series # 8

by James Patterson and Maxine Paetro

Detective Lindsay Boxer and her partner Rich Conklin are called in to investigate the murder of a wealthy San Francisco couple, Isa and Ethan Bailey. This seems to be a perfect murder, but investigation shows vengeance and links to the past.

At the same time reporter Cindy Thomas is following the brutal murder of a street person known as Bagman Jesus.  He is portrayed to Thomas as a saint, but in her search for the killer she finds evidence that he wasn't as saintly as portrayed.

Three of the Women's Club (Lindsay, Cindy and Yuki) are facing crises in their love lives. Yuki especially is confronted with a bizarre situation which challenges her beliefs.

The 8th Confession is the usual James Patterson .It is fast moving with lively action and dialogue.  The typical Patterson short chapters make it a quick read. The characters are well presented.   The several plots are well developed giving the characters excellent opportunities to work independently.

This book is light entertainment for a few hours on the patio or beach.
