Bloodborn
An Anya Crichton novel, No. 4

by Kathryn Fox

Dr Anya Crichton is a forensic pathologist who feels helpless in the case of the Hart sisters. The two were brutally attacked and raped in a home invasion. Only one survived and is barely able, even with Anya's help, to assist the police in their investigations.

The suspects are brothers, members of the Harbourn family. They have been an untouchable family of criminals responsible for raping, beating and killing their victims in a shocking manner. Their mother is fanatically protective of them, always giving them the alibis they need.

Anya is angered by the brutal crimes and the lack of prosecution. It becomes her goal to find proof of their guilt and bring them to justice.

This is a fast-paced, powerful crime novel with a well-constructed plot. It is a superb and gritty thriller with forensic details thoroughly researched. The story is complex with believable characters, some of them very scary. There are some shocking savage crime scenes.
