Danny and Da Mob

by John S. Niblock

Danny and da Mob is a debut novel for John S. Niblock. It introduces Danny Molito, who is heading back to Monmouth College for his alumni reunion. However, he comes across an FBI listening post while trying to deliver a payoff to Da Mob. Now, both the FBI and the Mob are chasing Danny. Danny is able to get his friend and former classmate, Kitty, a lawyer, to help defend them against the Mob. They put their lives at risk.

Danny and Da Mob is full of silly antics and lots of clichés. It is light on the suspense but full of action. The plot is silly and fun. The characterization of Danny Molito is what this reviewer imagines the author to be like—fun, silly, and full of clichés.

The setting is known to John S. Niblock, since he is a graduate of Monmouth College. It is obvious by the little turns and twists around buildings and other areas around the campus that only a student or graduate of the school could know. The setting of the college fits the story and plot of Danny and Da Mob.
