Dutch
First in a trilogy

by Teri Woods

Dutch was born Bernard James.  He is dark, sexy, cold blooded and ruthless.  He didn't feel that school was necessary and believed his ultimate role in life was to be the King of New York.

He started out by sweeping floors for an Italian who was connected to the Mafia. When a stick-up kid tried to attack the man, Dutch came to his rescue and killed the attacker.  This proved to the man that Dutch was loyal, and he had the Mob give Dutch a job at a chop shop. There, Dutch bossed a team of kids who only stole luxury cars. He was doing well until the biggest car theft went wrong and Dutch had to go to jail.

The two years in jail made Dutch smarter and badder than ever.  He came out determined to resume his plan to be King.  At the present time the King was a Nigerian, Kazami, who had until then been untouchable as two hits on him were unsuccessful.  But Dutch sets up a trap for Kazami based on his only weakness, his baby and the baby's mother.  After Dutch kills Kazami and his wife, he meets with Kazami's team and everyone loyal to him and kills them in one of the biggest killing sprees New York has ever seen. Dutch is put on trial, but manages a plan to avenge those who are trying to usurp his power.  It ends with a spine tingling twist.

Dutch reads like a mobster/gangster movie.  It is a bone-chilling story of murder, violence and the struggle for power.  It is a harrowing tale with gory details about Dutch's life of crime.

I understand that this is the first of a projected trilogy.  What more gruesome details are to come?
