Evil Without A Face
Sweet Justice Series, Book 1
by Jordan Dane
After three previous books in the successful "No One" series, Jordan Dane brings us a new series called "Sweet
Justice." The first in the series, Evil Without A Face, introduces us to bounty hunter Jessica Beckett.
Jess thinks she’s hardened to this life until she begins a case involving an online predator who has abducted a
teenage girl. Stumbling onto this information while pursuing another case, Jess enlists the help of her friend,
Detective Samantha Cooper. Jess, along with Sam and Jess's trusted employee Seth, will put their careers and their
lives at risk to help Payton Archer recover his niece Nikki. Traveling from Alaska to Chicago and back, the story
follows the exciting, almost frightening chase of a bounty hunter looking to bring justice to online predators.
Unbeknownst to Jess there is also another force at work. Flying below the legal system and out of sight, a
special group with unlimited resources is also pursuing the online predators known as Global Harvest. Alexa
Marlowe is tracking Jess and her friends with hopes of getting enough of the info she needs to take down Global
Harvest first. Soon enough all will meet, but will it be in time to save Payton’s niece? Lives and innocence will
be lost in the chase.
Evil Without A Face is suspense at its finest. While it's a work of fiction, the possibilities are so
real that any parent would be wise to read this book. Not as a parent handbook per se, but as a glimpse into
things I as a parent didn’t realize were possible. We all think we teach our children to be careful online but
there are predators we don't even think of, including other children. This book was fascinating from start to
finish. Filled with characters who have a few secrets of their own, you'll want to read more about them as soon
as the next book in the series is available. Get ready; it’s not likely you’ll put this book down until the
very last page. |
