Bailey Wiggins has had a rough year. First she loses her job at a women’s magazine, and then
the relationship with her boyfriend goes sour. However, things are looking up. She is now
working freelance for a tabloid called The Buzz, and a former flame makes contact with
her.
Chris Wickersham is a former model who has just landed a role on the new television show
called: The Morgue. Bailey hopes he is calling to renew an old love, but unfortunately
that is not all that is on his mind.
A cast-mate, Tom Fain, has disappeared almost on the eve of the release of their new series.
No one else seems concerned, but Chris feels something is not right and asks Bailey to look into
it.
After asking questions of many people, Bailey realizes that more than one person is glad that
Tom has disappeared and, after discovering a badly burned and decaying corpse in Tom’s house, she
now must find out just who did the deed before they come after her.
Kate White is an editor-in-chief at the well known Cosmopolitan magazine. She brings
the knowledge of writing for magazines into this book. The gutsy and appealing Bailey Wiggins
has a life all her own. What great fun and a fast and easy read this was. I do believe I need
to search out Kate White’s previous books.
