Harlan Coben started his writing career with a series of books featuring Myron Bolitar, a Harvard
educated sports agent, who also does private investigator work.
In Long Lost the ninth in this series, Myron ends up in Paris, helping a long lost love
find her missing ex-husband. Terese Collins was a TV newswoman who dropped out of Myron’s life
years earlier. Now Terese reveals why. There was a struggle with her marriage, trying to conceive
and have a child, only to lose her only daughter in an accident years later.
When Myron arrives, Terese’s ex-husband has been found murdered and she is the prime suspect.
DNA found at the scene suggests that the daughter Terese thought for years was dead may still be
alive.
The book takes many whirlwind twists and turns with Myron trying to help his long lost love
while parrying with Homeland Security, Interpol and even Mossad. Why is everyone so interested in
this case and what implications are being hidden?
I am an avid Harlan Coben fan but was not sure I would like a series featuring a sports agent.
I just am not a sports fan. Don’t let that hold you back. The writing and the plots are just as
breathtaking and suspenseful as ever.
